Operational Strategy

This is a high-cost comp that relies on consistent leveling and economy. Once completed, it has board-wiping capability and extremely high strength. Prioritize this comp if you have high-quality Shepherd units early to streak. It's relatively difficult, requiring mastery of economy management and rolling timings.

Early Game Transition (Stages 1-3): Use 2 Heavy Armor units at 4 population for transition. Prioritize saving 50 gold to use interest for leveling up. If your starting board is weak, consider using Future Soldier or Sea Monster synergies to transition. Mid Game Power Spike (Stages 4-5): At 5 population, use 3 Shepherd units to transition. At 6 population, use 2 Judge units to transition. At 7 population, use 3 Heavy Armor units to transition. In terms of economy management, still prioritize saving 50 gold to use interest for leveling up. At 5 population, prioritize building Sona and Nunu's items; give them to your backline and frontline units for transition first, then transfer them to your final carries later. At 7 population, prioritize economic or combat-oriented Hextech Augments. The best Judge effects are those that provide free rerolls or gold. Late Game Refinement (Stage 6+): At 8 population, start rolling. Rolling for 2-star Nami and 2-star Nunu will stabilize your board, then prepare to level up. At 9 population, start rolling. Rolling for 2-star high-cost units within the comp will fully complete it. If your HP is above 60, consider pushing to level 9 before rolling. If your HP is below 30 and there are other players contesting your comp, consider going for 3-star 4-cost units at this level to win. If all contesters have 2-star units, you can level up to 9 to increase your comp's ceiling. After reaching sufficient quality, observe other players to prevent them from hitting 3-star 4-cost units, and pay attention to unit blocking.

Augment Recommendations Prioritize: War-Time Supplies (Needlessly Large Rod), Lightweight Spellcasting, Fire Sale, Forward Thinking, Duo Queue, Large Grab Bag, Expansion Pack, Staffsmith, High Voltage, Spellcasting, Gilded Steel. Best Deities: Ekko, Ahri, Thresh.

HeroRoleRecommended ItemsAlternative Items
GragasMain CarryArmguard, Luden's EchoSympathy, Hand of Justice

Operational Strategy

Gragas's Hero Augment is stronger if you have Sympathy. For Hextech Augments and Deities, try to pick ones that provide burst damage; it's best if you can two-shot the enemy's main tank with abilities. Position Gragas in the middle of the first row, with only two of your toughest tanks on either side, to clump enemies and hit more targets. Position Pyke in the last row to more easily hook the backline. The biggest boost from Artifacts comes from Armguard and Luden's Echo. If Sympathy is missing, substitute Sympathy; if present, substitute Hand of Justice; just aim for pure burst.

Operational Strategy

Jax's unpopular setups like Star Gazer, Huntress, Altar, Boar actually perform better than Medal, Spring, or Xiushan, likely because no one wants Jax. Overall, Viper is the strongest, providing a significant damage reduction boost. With more big data samples, Nightblade is now far stronger than Guinsoo's Rageblade. For Artifacts, almost all Warrior Artifacts are usable, with Wisdom being the strongest.

Operational Strategy

Theoretically, Zed can fit into any comp. The simplest and strongest formula is to replace Graves's position in Nova 95, because there aren't enough B.F. Swords. Frontline Maokai and Tahm Kench perform better than Blitzcrank and Nunu because Maokai can help Zed recover HP. When you can't play 95, Teamfight Tactics (Mobile) doesn't have many strong physical 8-4 comps, making it relatively difficult, while in regular TFT, it can smoothly integrate into Corki and Master Yi systems.

Operational Strategy

The core idea of this comp is that falling fish instantly eliminate the backline. Lulu's Spring effect can hit 6 units at once, the completed synergy forms a closed loop, and units on enhanced hexes gain healing and damage increase per second. Use 3 Star Gazer for early transition. At level 7, start rolling to chase 3-star units for the comp. After getting 3-star Lulu and 3-star frontline, level up. Check Star Gazer effects at the start; if there's a Spring, you can play this comp.

The core of this comp is the powerful combination of Aurelion Sol and Nami, achieving perfect synergies at level 8. Use Shepherd units for early synergy transition, Teemo or Lissandra can hold items. In mid-game, primarily focus on gathering Heavy Armor units. At level 8, start rolling to get all units to 2-star. If there are no contesters in the lobby, you can consider chasing 3-star 4-cost units or pushing to level 9 to add Saviour units for higher ceiling.

Operational Strategy

This is a high-cost comp that relies on consistent leveling and economy. It's an off-meta, rank-stealing style. Starting with Xayah or recommended Ornn Artifacts and many attack speed items is best. In early game, use 2 Sniper, 2 Bastion at 4 population for transition, prioritize saving 50 gold to use interest for leveling up. If your starting board is weak, you can use Future Soldier or Sea Monster synergies to transition. At 5 population, use 2 Nova Operative to transition. At 6 population, add 1 Saviour. At 7 population, add 2 Brawler. Prioritize item-granting Hextech Augments or combat-oriented Hextech Augments. If there are Artifact Hextech Augments or Ekko Deity, take them to raise the comp's ceiling. At 8 population, start rolling for 2-star Xayah and 2-star Nunu to fully complete the comp. Pay close attention to whether there are contesters; consider whether to chase 3-star 4-cost units at this level to win. If contesters all have 2-star units, you can level up to 9 to increase the comp's ceiling. At 9 population, start rolling for 2-star high-cost units within the comp to fully complete it. After reaching sufficient quality, remember to observe other players, don't let them steal 3-star 4-cost units, and remember to block units.

Operational Strategy

This Nova Zed is a branch of the Nova 95 comp. Zed's core mechanic is that his clones inherit item stats, and he can create infinite clones, leading to an insane damage density. Once completed, it's essentially a T0-tier presence with a very high ceiling. In the early game, you can transition with a normal win streak, using 3 Sea Monster or 3 Future system or Shepherd. Prioritize building Nightblade and Guinsoo's Rageblade. In the mid-game, usually gather units around stages 4-5/5-1. The typical approach is to start rolling at level 9, following the Nova 95 rhythm. A losing streak is not recommended; you need enough HP to reach 4-2 to get Zed. If an early losing streak puts your HP at risk, roll appropriately at 4-2 to secure board quality. Shadowflame (Zed exclusive) is a must-take Augment. Additionally, you can choose large economic Hextech Augments or Ahri (Deity choice) to help you reach level 9 faster and find 2-star Zed. Zed can be placed in the backline or in a corner.

Operational Strategy

This comp is the 2.0 version of the Ten-Thousand HP Cho'Gath. Through Dark Star's massive quality effect and 3-star Cho'Gath, it achieves infinite scaling, becoming both tanky and dealing damage. In the early game, take reroll Hextech Augments and don't level up, instead chasing 3-star Cho'Gath. In the mid-game, combine Future, Brawler, and Dark Star for transition. In the late game, find Jhin at level 9 to activate 6 Dark Star.

JinxEarly Game Item HolderWar Bunny Crossbow, Guinsoo's Rageblade, Infinity EdgeLast Whisper

Operational Strategy

At the start, prioritize building 3 Phantom and going on a losing streak to stably stack 300-500 layers of War Bunny Crossbow for Jinx to hold items and transition. Throughout the game, prioritize grabbing items to synthesize Diana's core three items. At 7 population, do small rolls to find 2-star synergy units to stabilize HP, then slowly chase 3-star Diana; if LeBlanc isn't found, you can use 3 Shepherd or 3 Judge units as item holders. Do not level up before getting your core 3-star unit. After Diana is 3-star at 8 population, prioritize adding Galio to enhance frontline tankiness, accumulate 50 gold interest and slowly level up, ensuring a healthy economy. At 9 population, complete the comp by adding Karma to activate 4 Traveler synergy, making the comp fully online. Prioritize giving excess items to frontline tanks; magic items to Arora, and physical items to Jinx. Subsequently, slowly chase 3-star 4-cost units to further stabilize and secure the win. The Judge Karma augment must be chosen for 10 instances of damage + 15% Max HP shield. This synergizes with Diana's own shield, creating infinite shields, making the frontline virtually immune to damage. If you cannot assemble 3 Phantom or start with a large losing streak, leading to insufficient War Bunny Crossbow stacks, the strength will be severely impacted. Diana and Arora are fixed dual carries; in the late game, you can chase 3-star LeBlanc as a replacement for a higher ceiling; frontline units can be flexibly replaced with high-tankiness units.

Operational Strategy

In the early game, rely on Heavy Armor units with backline carries for a stable item-holding transition, such as Illaoi, Nunu, etc. Prioritize synthesizing LeBlanc's core offensive items, such as Guinsoo's Rageblade, Jeweled Gauntlet. At the start, immediately check the Judge refresh traits, prioritizing the "gain +10 Mana every 4 seconds" trait. Focus on accumulating economy in the early game; do not roll aimlessly. Prioritize assembling 4 Heavy Armor synergy to stabilize HP, use strong 2-star units to maintain board strength. Promptly level up to 8 population at stage 4-2, focus on searching for core LeBlanc and completing the 4 Heavy Armor system. Once all units are 2-star, you have the ability to stabilize HP. If you find enough copies, you can naturally chase 3-star LeBlanc to increase the ceiling. Level up to 9 population to complete the final composition change, replace Ivern, add Nasus and Blitzcrank to form 6 Heavy Armor synergy. Uniformly allocate excess defensive items to Nunu to further enhance the overall tankiness of the frontline. Frontline Heavy Armor heroes build a solid defense in the front. Offensive heroes like LeBlanc and Karma are safely placed in the backline. Flexibly adjust LeBlanc's positioning based on enemy divers or area-of-effect damage, ensuring her damage output space. If the Judge trait at the start rolls a health shield effect, you can immediately abandon the "Iron Maiden" system and directly pivot to playing "Infinite Shield Diana", allowing for flexible switching between two playstyles.

Jax Artifact Recommendations: Rapid Firecannon, Spear of Shojin, Wit's End, Mittens (Artifact).

Operational Strategy

In the early game, don't rush to level up. After getting "Star Seeker's Ambition" at 2-1, use Twisted Fate, Talon to get 3 Star Gazer first, then save money for interest. If you already have 3 Star Gazer plus a 2-star frontline, and Jax has an item, you can aim for a win streak from the start. Level up to 6 population at 3-2; this is the most critical stage. Immediately do a big roll down to around 30 gold, looking for 2-star Jax and the basic comp structure. 2-star Jax is strong in the early game and can sustain slow rolling for 3-star. Slow roll while holding around 30/50 gold; you must hit 3-star Jax before 4-1. After 3-star Jax, immediately save money to level up. Prioritize chasing 3-star Jax, then 3-star Pantheon and Milio. Getting one 3-star frontline and one 3-star backline unit is enough to go to level 7 and 8; no need to wait for all of them. At level 8, add Rhaast (to enable Kayn, or Morgana). If conditions allow, continue chasing Lulu and Maokai. In the late game, you'll generally play until the end at level 8; if HP is healthy, you can go to 9 for 5-cost units. Recommended to position in the "left toilet spot"; flexibly adjust according to Star Gazer positions. Pantheon is the strongest main tank; if he doesn't appear, he can be replaced by Maokai or Rammus. If still no tanks, find other tanks. For secondary carries, you can choose other 2-star 4-cost or 5-cost offensive heroes.

Core Items

HeroRoleRecommended Items
Aurelion SolMain CarryJeweled Gauntlet, Rabadon's Deathcap, Striker's Flail
NunuMain TankIceborn Gauntlet, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Sterak's Gage

Operational Strategy

Oracle Laser Aurelion Sol is a popular comp in the current version, particularly strong against single-tank comps, able to quickly deplete their HP. The core lies in the pure burst damage from 2-star 4-cost frontline units and 2-star Aurelion Sol, as well as activating 3 Oracle at level 9 for a higher ceiling. It's not a brainless comp; it requires precise operational rhythm and itemization. If you can roll for 2-star frontline units and 2-star Aurelion Sol in the first few rounds of Stage 4, you can stably stabilize your HP and secure a top finish. Compared to T0 comps of the version, it's slightly weaker, but once completed, it has top 4 potential. When other comps aren't going well, it can serve as a strong pivot option. Its operational difficulty is relatively high, not suitable for mindless play; recommended for players who understand mid-game pivoting and economy management. Level up to 8 population at stage 4-2, then start rolling, searching for 2-star Aurelion Sol and 2-star frontline units. 4-2 is a critical rolling timing; leveling up to 8 too early will crash your economy, while too late may lead to defeat by other completed comps. Prioritize building Aurelion Sol's Jeweled Gauntlet and the main tank's Iceborn Gauntlet. Afterward, complete Aurelion Sol's second offensive item and frontline tank items. If HP is healthy, economy is good, and units are coming smoothly, go to 9 population to add Bard or Sona, activating 3 Oracle for a higher ceiling. Position Aurelion Sol in a corner for safe damage output. The main tank stands at the very front to absorb damage; the frontline can be spread out in a line or be a single tank. Prioritize economic augments, for example, "Ahri" (provides gold and experience) or other augments that help reach 8 population at stage 4-2, ensuring enough economy for rolling.

HeroRoleRecommended Items
ZoeMain CarryRabadon's Deathcap, Jeweled Gauntlet, Magic Penetration, Ekko's Patience
LeonaMain TankGargoyle Stoneplate, Dragon's Claw, Spirit Visage, Ionic Spark

Operational Strategy

The core of this comp is to achieve an infinite ability-casting effect for Zoe by synergizing the Judge trait's 10 instances of damage with mana regeneration, in conjunction with Ekko's Patience item, enabling Zoe to cast infinitely, dealing massive damage. It's a T0-tier, high-strength comp in the current version, relatively simple to play, suitable for players who seek high burst damage and perpetual abilities. In the early game, prioritize using Sea Monster synergy to randomly acquire Leona and Zoe. At level 5, you can field 2 Future Soldier to increase reroll chances. The goal is to start rolling before level 6 and find 3-star Zoe in one go. In the mid-game, when Judge's 10 instances of damage and mana regeneration effect can synergize with Ekko's Patience, infinite abilities are achieved. Prioritize securing Zoe's key items. In the late game, level up to add higher quality units. Use Nunu as a control unit; LeBlanc and Karma provide additional utility and functionality. Prioritize Divine Forge, Dormant Forge, and Lofty Venture Augments. Special Augments can include Yasuo's Starlight Hex or Varus's Duplicator. The comp's strength lies in Zoe's infinite abilities, providing high burst and sustained damage. The rank-up tip is to seize the early to mid-game rhythm, quickly reach 3-star Zoe, and assemble core items.

Operational Strategy

In Teamfight Tactics S17 Astral season 17.3, "Infinite Laser Aurelion Sol" has become a strong choice. In this version, Aurelion Sol's overall stats have been significantly buffed, resulting in a qualitative change in his output ability. The comp builds a pure damage output system around Aurelion Sol, utilizing Oracle synergy for efficient mana regeneration, continuously casting lasers to suppress opponents. Simple to operate and easy to pick up, both beginners and female players can use it with confidence. In the early game, prioritize using Shepherd synergy for transition. Give Aurelion Sol's completed items to Lissandra to hold. Prioritize picking AP-related items from Astral Blessing, synthesizing Aurelion Sol's core item Rabadon's Deathcap as early as possible. You can also choose Phantom losing streak to accumulate resources. In the mid-game, level up to 8 population during stages 4-1 to 4-2, begin searching for core units of the entire system, raising main units to 2-star to stabilize HP. If you cannot assemble 4 Heavy Armor synergy, directly use Galio to fill the frontline position to ensure overall tankiness. In the late game, once Aurelion Sol successfully reaches 2-star, you can fully push for higher population. At 9 population, complete 3 Oracle synergy to speed up ability cooldowns. Prioritize synthesizing resistance-reducing items to maximize Aurelion Sol's laser damage output. You can also field Rhaast for additional utility. Recommended Augments include economic ones (Four-Cost Band, Late Game Specialist, etc.) and offensive ones (Seraph's Embrace, Customized Delivery, etc.).

Operational Strategy

After the hotfix, the chance of sneaking a win with 3-star 4-costs has decreased. This is currently the comp with the highest win rate, and it's the first choice if your economy is good. It revolves around the Nova synergy's Aatrox and Akali. Aatrox provides resistance shred for all units, and Akali grants critical strike chance to all units, greatly boosting the damage output of 5-cost units like Graves, Fiora, and Vex. The standard comp is completed at level 9, consisting of Aatrox, Akali, Maokai, Tahm Kench, Fiora, Shen, Morgana, Graves, forming multiple synergies. In the early game, prioritize using 3 Sea Monster with fighter items or Draven with attack speed items for transition. Based on economy, HP, and contesters, choose to push to level 9 and do a large roll-down at 4-2/4-5/4-7. With around 50 HP, roll for 2-star main tank + two 2-star carries, then push to level 10.

Operational Strategy

This is currently the easiest 4-cost comp to stabilize HP through a losing streak. Its construction is flexible and cost is low, especially suitable for transitioning with magic or tank items, or starting with a losing streak. In Teamfight Tactics, Aurelion Sol's ability can directly bypass the frontline to hit the backline. Its strength is T0.5, allowing you to force it almost every game. The standard comp consists of Urgot, Viktor, Galio, Tahm Kench, Master Yi, Aurelion Sol, forming 6 Mech, 2 Brawler, 2 Berserker, 2 Psychic. This comp, combined with Tahm Kench's solo synergy effect, makes it easy to sneak out 3-star 4-costs. In the early game, use 2 Future / 3 Phantom / 3 Sea Monster for transition, accumulating economy and perfect items. Around 4-2, level up to 8 and do a large roll, assemble the recommended comp based on what you find, and remember to transform all Mech units. After Aurelion Sol and Galio are 2-star, save money, then decide whether to push to 9 or chase 3-stars based on contesters.

Advanced Combat Tips

  1. Utilizing S17 Mech Aurelion Sol's Backline-Bypass Mechanic: In Teamfight Tactics S17, Aurelion Sol's ability can directly bypass the frontline to deal damage to the enemy backline. This gives Mech comps a huge advantage against traditional, tanky frontline enemy comps. For positioning, consider placing Aurelion Sol diagonally opposite the enemy's main carry to maximize his damage efficiency. At the same time, combining Galio's tankiness and crowd control can effectively protect Aurelion Sol and create a safe environment for his damage output.

  2. Flexible Economy Management for High-Cost Comps: For high-cost comps, early game economy accumulation is key. Besides traditional economic Hextech Augments, you can also use 3 Sea Monster or 2 Future win streaks for transition, or gain benefits from Phantom by losing streaks. Based on the special mechanic where 2-cost units appear in Stage 2, prioritize using 3 Sea Monster for a win streak transition. When rolling in the mid-game, flexibly assess your HP and contesters, decide whether to push to 9 population for 5-cost units, or chase 3-star 4-cost units at level 8, to avoid forcing levels and leading to an economic and HP collapse.

  3. Item Priority and Flexibility for Multi-Carry Comps: In multi-carry comps like Star Gazer Sniper Xayah, Ivern 95 Jhin, it's crucial to prioritize securing the core offensive items for main carries Xayah/Jhin. At the same time, items for secondary carries Jhin/Vex should follow closely. Flexibly adjust positioning to counter different opponents, ensuring core offensive heroes have safe damage output space. In the late game, promptly optimize item configurations based on game changes, ensuring the multi-carry advantage is fully utilized.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

In the early S17 version, the pace is relatively slow. In the early game, prioritize using 3 Sea Monster for a win streak transition or 2 Future for a losing streak to gain economy. In this environment, high-cost 95 comps and comps that sneak 3-star 4-costs are top choices for winning. If your early game transition is smooth and economy is good, you can choose Nova 95. If you want to roll for board quality at level 8, Mech Flex is also an excellent choice due to its unique mechanics and stable strength. For beginners or players with a rough start, reroll 3-cost comps like Astral Weave Twisted Fate are also good stable rank-up strategies.

The main operational difficulty for these two Ten-Thousand HP comps lies in their extreme reliance on specific Chosen units and core items. Zilean needs to be 3-star and fully itemized to reliably revive all units and stack HP. Irelia requires Chosen Jade Sword Immortal, and must be equipped with Archangel's Staff, Titan's Resolve, and Bloodthirster to achieve ten-thousand HP true damage. If you cannot successfully obtain the key Chosen unit or core items in the early game, it will significantly impact the comp's strength and win rate. Additionally, you need to be wary of heroes like Lee Sin, Seraphine who can remove units, as they are natural counters to Ten-Thousand HP comps.

For S16.8 systems like Demacia Malphite and Freljord Zilean, when facing magic comps, Demacia Malphite's Taric provides magic resist, while Freljord Zilean relies on Ornn's tankiness and dual ice tower control. You can prioritize stacking magic resist items like Dragon's Claw and Spirit Visage on the frontline. When facing physical comps, focus more on physical defensive items like Gargoyle Stoneplate and Bramble Vest. Additionally, Freljord synergy's resistance reduction and damage amplification effects boost all damage output, while Demacia's Radiant items can be adjusted based on the carry's damage type, for example, giving magic burst items to Malphite or Lux, or physical sustain items to Shyvana, to respond flexibly.
